Summer-time is around the corner and the streets are about to get crowded. What's on the top of the list? Beating your colleagues at scheduling PTO and booking flights to lounge on hot sand and drink cold mimosas. But first, it's time to check the luggage, and what better way to celebrate a mini-vacay other than indulging in affordable, luxury sleek pieces and travel sets designed for any overnight occasion? CEO and Founder, Stanley Bobby Daniels, knows all about this and is the mastermind behind "Overnight Travel Bags," which launched in 2022. The minority-owned company has created luxurious bags for high-profile clients since it first broke ground, and he's just getting started. Below, IMM caught up with the Maryland-native entrepreneur for some one-on-one gab about the stunning brand.

IMM: So, tell us about Overnight Travel Bags (OTB) and what inspired you to create this brand?

SBD: I wanted to create a luxury brand that is sleek, classy, and fashionable yet affordable. I am incorporating a touch of street fashion and luxury style.

IMM: I see that OTB offers both 100% genuine leather and vegan leather bags. What was the thought and production process like for you to launch?

SBD: Yes, OTB is set out to cater to all walks of life. It is understood that not everyone is okay with 100% Leather so we are offering Synthetic Leather (Vegan Leather). Currently, bulk production is being made with genuine leather but we are offering exclusive releases with Vegan Leather.

IMM: What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

SBD: Save your money! Make investments, and make sure the business is done first.

IMM: You’re around independent music artists on a regular basis. What’s your favorite part about managing and helping them achieve their dreams?

SBD: Development. Watching the growth. That’s what motivates me daily.

IMM: What’s your favorite bag out of the OTB Collection, and why?

SBD: Honestly, all of them. I have exclusive holiday releases that I’m looking forward too. Like the Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day bags are going to be my favorite.

IMM: What’s your favorite travel destination?

SBD: Favorite destination is Northern Mariana Islands. I lived there for a year and it was like waking up in paradise. Second, is Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico (I lived there for a year as well).

IMM: How do you manage self-care in between working a 9-5, being a family man, AND being an entrepreneur?

SBD: It’s HARD!!!! I have to take a day for self every now and then. I make time for the gym, pedicure and massages, and overnight trips lol.

IMM: If you could have drinks with any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

SBD: Wow, this is a great question. It’s a tie…. Dwayne Johnson or Terry Crews. I have admired them for years. Coming from nothing, evictions, and other obstacles they adapted to the change and focused on bettering themselves and stayed so focused on their goals.

IMM: What’s up next with OTB for the rest of 2023?

SBD: We are looking forward to launching on Amazon and opening up a boutique/warehouse. We have a few exclusive drops coming up for Halloween and Christmas. I have Tote bags, Diaper bags, and Crossbody bags. I have been working on apparel as well as shoes.
